I once knew a guy who asked me a question that has confounded me until this very day. Here’s all the background you need:
It was winter.
I live in Canada.
We usually get a fair amount of snow in the part of Canada I live in.
I take photos in all seasons.
He said to me, one day, after seeing some photos from another Canadian photographer he’d met online:
“What’s up with you Canadians? Do you all take pictures of snow?”
He said it with a hint of disdain and was clearly playing on the Canadian stereotype.
“Uhh, well, I suppose if you mean ‘do all Canadian photographers take photos OUTSIDE….I guess the answer is yes. Particularly if you live in a part of Canada that sees snow for almost half the year.
So, this one’s for him. I almost answered by asking if all the people in California take photos of sunshine but decided it wasn’t worth the argument. 😉
Plus, how can you not think that ^^^ is beautiful? I don’t like the cold, but I do love the snow (and Maple syrup AND I say “Eh” now and then. Yay Canada!
