It’s been a while since I’ve been out for a good walk to take some photos. I find that the best photos I capture need to come from the moment I’m in and, quite frankly, slushy, muddy, skeleton-tree post freezing winter but pre-spring just doesn’t hold my attention well enough to really sink into the moment very often.

The promise of new life budding and warm weather; however, captures my mind in a way I can’t release.

So – spring.

I’ve always been drawn to these pretty, natural sun-spotted shots that highlight the tiniest and most beautiful details. We never take the time to stop and really examine the details, I find. When you do, amazing things can happen. In these moments, I was absolutely mentally, emotionally and physically tuned into these little leaves. They will change each day, in fact, are already totally different than they were one week ago. This moment; this exact moment in time, will never happen again. I feel so lucky to have been able to witness and hold forever this moment.

Even the spiderwebs you can barely see reflecting the sunshine are now likely gone. Never again will this tiny part of the world be this way again. Isn’t that amazing?

I have some amazing shots of the water from this same area. Will be posting those soon.

Thanks for stopping by! Much more to come. 🙂
