Magic

A little digital magic makes the scene dance with light. Fun ways to spend a few minutes making something no one has ever seen.

I wish I could project my words this way, visual to anyone who wanted to see. Photos are another form of words I suppose. There is something wonderful about everyone being able to interpret what the see without my own thoughts and emotions clouding or guiding their own.

Curiously sweet

Cows are plentiful around here.  There aren’t many big milking or beef farms close by so, thankfully, almost all of the cattle I see are content, happy, naturally fed, bred, and raised.  Although their time may be limited and their fate predetermined, it makes me happy to see that these guys, at least, get to live a healthy, natural life just being a cow in a field with a nice warm barn and regular feedings until their time closes in.

They are very smart and sweet animals.  If you ever get a chance to make friends with one, it’s something you’ll never forget.  The cow above watched me the entire time I was taking photos.

This little one was curious but not curious enough to stick around long.  He high-tailed it back to the barn where mama was waiting for him, nervously peeking out at me now and then.

That white fuzzy belly though.  So cute.  I hope this little one gets to live a long, happy life never knowing what his future may hold.

Inside out

I don’t like messing with photos too much, particularly the clean, simple ones like landscapes that capture lines and texture almost as if you’re seeing it in 3D – natural beauty can do that without the help of a filter.  Somehow, though, this accidental flip of the spectrum while editing made me need to save this one.

I don’t know if it’s the halo or the eerie way the trees in the background seem to vanish and then reappear depending on the angle you view it at…but I like it.  After all, this blog is supposed to be about new perspectives.  This is certainly one that fulfills that promise.

I don’t even know what this is

This sculpture has been living at my favourite wandering haunt for years and I don’t even know what it is. It’s going to be made out of some kind of natural  material like sand and it is very intricately carved. The longer you look the more strange it to become a little people seem to take on different attributes as they tell their story.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this?
